Like most goals I set out to accomplish, my goal of 365 picture has change somewhat. Instead of a photo a day, it is being updated to 7 photos per week, which is a bit more doable. The last few weeks have been super busy and I have not taken as many as I would have liked, but here is my seven for last week. As you can see I have been baking for Christmas, these pinwheels turned out so lovely I couldn't resist a photo shoot:
Not far from my house down a rinky dink gravel road is one of Missouri's last suspension bridges. I'm not sure when it was built, but I'm going to guess in the early 1900's, most people are afraid to walk across it much less drive, but I love it! I hope it stays forever! My latest library treasure was a Jamie Oliver cookbook, this was Chicken stroganoff; delicious!
And last but not least, I photographed my God-daughter and her Daddy, which turned out to be one of the sweetest pictures I've taken:

As it turns out, I am not a very consistent blogger. I am so busy taking pictures for my blog I never get around to posting them. Over the last few weeks I have taken more than fifty pictures, most of those were over the holidays and are of my family and friends, which I don't care to post. However, I have taken many others. I always try to teach myself whatever it is that I'm interested in learning, I fiddle with my camera in order to take more exciting pictures instead of adjusting them is Photoshop.
Recently I rediscovered that if I take off my lens and turn it around backwards it transforms into a super macro! I have had so much fun with it, taking pictures of anything I can get my hands on! Whether its book matches, beads or even rocks! The amount of control is extremely limited and its almost impossible to hand hold, but the results are fantastic! Try it sometime. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Sweet, sweet robots
So far I have been failing on my project. I have not taken a photo a day, more like every other day, some days I have taken them only to delete them later. Oh well, I will just have to make it up. For the last few days I have been finishing up some tiny robots in order to get ahead for Christmas, these little girly ones are some of my favorites, sadly the pink one has no arms or legs at the moment...

Week 1
Well, week number one is complete! I am slightly ashamed to say that I took no pictures two days in a row. I have no excuse, only that I was uninspired one day and the next I forgot my camera, but the point is to challenge my creativity not stress it, so I'm not too worried about it.
It definitely has been a challenge especially when I'm at work looking at the same things everyday, however beauty can still be found in the familiar. The first image for day 2 is the view looking out of where I work:
And the inside view:
For Day 3 I did some sewing, a few robots for Christmas and a little birdy for the fun of it:
And lastly, for an assignment for my photography class I was instructed to take a photo of fresh fruit or vegetables and make them look "good enough to eat". Turns out all I had was an eggplant and some apples, the apples were not hard because they always look good, but there is no way an eggplant ever looks appetizing! However, I'm pretty pleased with the end result.

365 Days of Photographs
I have never fully embraced the world of blogging, I try but I rarely feel inspired and am not much of a writer. So, thinking on this I have decided the reason I've never embraced it is because I am a visual person, I think and feel in images not words. As an artist colors, shapes and textures appeal to me. So instead of trying to make my blog what I think it's supposed to be I am going to make it what I want it to be (which is really the point after all). With that said, in order to give myself a goal I intend to catalog 365 days of photographs, not only to add something more visual to my blog, but to keep me sharp and creative in my photography skills. I may not post a picture every day, but I will take one everyday and hopefully post them a few times a week. These pictures will have no rhyme or reason, they may be of whatever piece of art I happen to be working on, photo assignments for my class or just something I happened to have found pretty. So...in the spirit of turning over new leaves, my first contribution is of a few leaves found in my back yard. If you happen upon my blog, I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do.

Troglodytes and BFF's
It has been an embarrassingly long time since I have visited my own blog. My alter-ego as a part time troglodyte has kept me very busy, but I have found time to work on a few creative endeavors, here's a few things I've been working on but just haven't posted to Etsy yet. First, the BFF Swapping Robots!
And, one of my personal favorites: The Ringmaster!

Summer fun
More and more I have been wishing that I was back in elementary school when you could really look forward to summertime. School would be out and that meant three months of fun! All day every day to spend barefoot outside, catching bugs or be as creative as possible! But sadly I had to grow up and summer just isn't nearly as magical, I still get excited about it every year around april though, but it comes and I still have to go to work and I don't have as much time to do the things I love. So, my creative self goes on vacation for a bit, which is really too bad because summer is so full of inspiration! It has not been all bad though, I am slowly but surely working on new designs for robots, and I have also made a sweet, sweet mousey pin cushion:
I going to be posting him on Etsy tonight, I'm excited to see if anyone else finds him as cute as I do.

Day One
Ready, set, and go!
Hi there and welcome to my blog! This is my first attempt at anything of this sort, so please bear with me as I figure it all out.
My intent is to give you a peep inside the 'creations' part of LittleBrownByrd Creations, and so you get to know me a bit. Also the occasional look into the minds of the robots themselves(yes, they have feelings too). I will be featuring my newest robots and ideas as well as any other silly things my mind comes up with.
Hopefully, at some point I plan to feature some of my favorite robots (not made by me) and fellow creators.
I hope you enjoy!
